Lumberman Swing Shift

LUMBERMAN Job Summary:

• The lumberman loads and unloads building materials and other incoming materials for delivery or storage.


• This position is occasionally referred to as a Load Builder.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Primary Duties/ Responsibilities:

• Move loads, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading areas, delivery vehicles, or by hand using material handling equipment.


• Attach identifying tags to loads, stock, or other materials.
• Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or operational needs.
• Stack loads in locations such as material sheds, storage or production areas, loading areas, delivery vehicles, or by hand using material handling equipment.
• Carry out general yard duties.
• Maintain proficiency in all organizational safe working policies and practices.
