Log Quality and Scaling Coordinator Role

Join Domtar's team as a Scaling & Quality Coordinator at the Atikokan Sawmill in Sapawe, Ontario. This 6 to 9 month contract role focuses on log quality assessment and compliance.
As the Scaling & Quality Coordinator, you will report to the Quality & Scaling Supervisor and be instrumental in maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality for log deliveries. Your responsibilities will include managing measurement programs and providing actionable insights to suppliers based on quality assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement safety and environmental protocols
• Conduct volume and quality sampling of delivered logs
• Maintain accurate scaling facilities
• Review load slips and exception reports daily
• Conduct physical inventories to track working capital
Requirements:
• 1 to 3 years in scaling or related field
• A valid Ontario Scaling Licence is preferred
• Experience in a four-season outdoor environment
