Lifting Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily lifting, hoisting, and rigging activities involving cranes, winches, lifting appliances, and associated equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations
• Ensure all lifting operations are carried out in accordance with approved lifting plans, risk assessments, method statements, and permit‑to‑work requirements
• Verify that all lifting equipment, accessories, and rigging gear are properly inspected, certified, maintained, and fit for purpose prior to use
• Conduct pre‑lift briefings, toolbox talks, and safety meetings to ensure all lifting personnel understand the applicable procedures, hazards, and responsibilities
• Allocate, direct, and supervise the activities of foremen, riggers, crane operators, banksmen, and supporting personnel to ensure lifting operations are completed safely and efficiently
