Job Description
Summary This Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor will serve as a psychotherapist on a Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Program (BHIP) team. The BHIP therapist will foster recovery-oriented, patient-centered, trauma-informed, and evidence-based, mental health care for Veterans assigned to the BHIP team. Responsibilities Duties may include, but are not limited to: Provide individual and group evidence-based treatment and psychoeducation for Veterans with a wide range of mental and behavioral health conditions. Provide crisis intervention and stabilization, which may include facilitating connections to higher levels of care (e.g., emergency department) for patient safety. Provide psychological assessment and diagnostic services, including to determine if a referral for neuropsychological evaluation is needed.
