This is a temporary assignment until May 15, 2027 or until the incumbent returns. Stettler is located in the heart of Alberta, just 179 km southeast of Edmonton and 101 km east of Red Deer. It serves as a regional hub with a main trading area involving over 11,000 people. The town offers a wide assortment of community facilities including an elementary/junior high school, a composite high school, a library, twin arenas, an aquatic centre, a performing arts theatre, and more. Nearby are several golf courses and Buffalo Lake.

Stettler Hospital boasts a 26-bed medical/surgical inpatient unit, including one palliative and two LDRP suites and two monitored close‑observation beds, as well as an 8‑bed emergency room and a surgical/endoscopy program.
