Licensed Practical Nurse

Position Overview

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) applies the nursing process to support clients, residents, and patients in achieving and maintaining their optimum level of health within a people‑centered care approach across various settings including Acute, Transitional, Personal Care Home, Primary Care, Oncology/Cancer Care, Public Health‑Healthy Living, and Home Care. The LPN works to full scope of practice, engages in ongoing education, and maintains competency in accordance with Southern Health‑Santé Sud policies, Professional Standards of Practice, the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba, the Code of Ethics, the Competency Profile for Licensed Practical Nurses in Manitoba, and the Regulated Health Professions Act. The incumbent exercises initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, methods, and actions on unusual matters, consistently aligning with the mission, vision, and values of Southern Health‑Santé Sud.
