Job Description

Summary About the Position: Serves as the Legislative Affairs Officer for the HQ, Army Transportation Command and is the focal point for all matters which may or have become the subject of Congressional interest, inquiry or investigation. Responsibilities Develops strategies for improving and maintaining strong relationships with Congress. Monitors and advises the Commanding General, Deputy to the Commander, Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff, Staff Directors Assesses Congressional actions, reports and conclusions, and advises and makes recommendations to the Commanding General on matters of such significance as to warrant his personal attention. Participates in command liaison activities and in the coordination of the legislative affairs of the command with the legislative affairs offices of Army Materiel Command and US Transportation Command.
