Legal Officer - Us Mexico Border Program

OVERVIEW
The US Mexico Border Program Legal Officer will be part of the team at USCRI Mexico’s field office in Tijuana, involved in the implementation of providing legal services through representing cases, capacity building and information sharing regarding migration-related matters with relevant authorities and other actors in the field. It will also involve the direct representation of clients in asylum proceedings in Mexico. This position will report to the US Mexico Border Program Coordinator.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design capacity building programs in migration-related themes as instructed by the Program Coordinator;
- Build capacity of and instruct authorities and other relevant actors in migration-related themes, in person or virtually, in accordance with the developed strategy, the realities at the border and the rights of migrants in border cities;
