Job Description
Overview
The Legal Counsel is responsible to independently advise on legal and regulatory compliance, loan, investments transactions, collections, and entity management. The role requires a high degree of autonomy and ownership, with the ability to manage a full legal workload with minimal day-to-day supervision.
Main responsibilities
The Legal Counsel has four main areas of focus:
- A. Lending Activities: The Legal Counsel supports drafting, reviews, and negotiates loan agreements and collateral documentation with the assistance of external counsel, ensuring enforceability and fulfilment of all required formalities to safeguard Oikocredit’s rights as a creditor. This includes credit facility agreements, security packages, and intercreditor arrangements.
