The Department of Africana Studies at Binghamton University, State University of New York, invites applications for the position of Lecturer in Africana Studies to teach Introduction to Africana Studies with an emphasis on Black history and social movements, especially in black nationalism, Pan-Africanism and social justice.
The successful candidate will teach three undergraduate courses per semester including multiple sections of lecture format of Introduction to Africana Studies. The teaching load includes both large lecture courses and smaller discussion courses.
We seek candidates who have experience teaching in black history and social justice, and who are engaged in the study of best practices in college teaching. We are especially interested in candidates with teaching experience in transnational and intercultural contexts as well as a knowledge ...
