Learn to scuba dive and clean our coastlines-

Overview

The Kidz at Sea Foundation, in partnership with the R4CR grant scheme, is conducting the SXM Coastal Clean‑Up project. The program will map and clean debris from Hurricane Irma that continues to litter the coast of Sint Maarten, while providing scuba‑diving training that results in internationally recognised certifications for participants.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a structured scuba‑diving training and obtain certification.
• Remove and document remaining Hurricane Irma debris during underwater clean‑ups.
• Assist with mapping the coastline and assess underwater environmental conditions.
• Support future clean‑up efforts coordinated by local dive shops and the Sint Maarten Nature Foundation.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants are residents of Sint Maarten between the ages of 18 and 34 who wish to assist in cleaning underwater coastlines.
