Job Description
Minimum requirements
- Matric
- Qualified UASMT or related aviation qualification, diploma in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Aviation Electronics, or equivalent hands‑on industry experience
- Proven background in drone maintenance, RC aircraft systems, aviation electronics, or mechatronic repairs
- Experience with agricultural drones is highly advantageous
- Demonstrated experience leading or supervising a team in a demanding technical environment
- Strong understanding of SACAA drone regulations and Part 101 compliance
- Lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians while coordinating daily workshop activities to ensure optimal turnaround times
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform advanced repairs on unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and related components
- Perform Pre‑Delivery Inspections (PDI), conduct post‑repair test flights, and ensure operations remain compliant with SACAA regulations
