Retinal Screening, Medical & Elder Services - Whangarei Hospital

This is a permanent full‑time position (40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday 8am‑4:30pm). Travel to rural clinics within Northland as required.

About the Role

As an experienced Ophthalmic Photographer, you will capture ophthalmic images of patients with diabetes for the diagnosis of diabetic retinopathy and other ocular pathologies. The purpose of this role is to provide a patient‑centred service by completing screening and delivering results while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professional standards. You will lead service provision across relevant clinical areas to ensure high‑quality clinical images are captured, processed, and stored to support clinical decision‑making. Additionally, you will provide clinical leadership and support to less experienced medical photographers.
