The Lead Medical Assistant is the first contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative tasks in addition to patient care. The Lead Medical Assistant assumes ownership and leads advanced and specialized administrative, operational, and customer support tasks that require independent initiative and judgment.
The Lead Medical Assistant performs clinical tasks. These responsibilities include discussing symptoms and obtaining vital signs. They also involve medication and vaccine administration, and phlebotomy and collecting specimens. Additionally, they encompass performing diagnostic screening tests, sterilizing and cleaning equipment, and maintaining examination rooms. Finally, they require documenting information into the electronic medical records system. Collaborate with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.
