Thorough knowledge of the Engine Management System and its components—sensors and actuators. Understanding of engine combustion parameters and optimization. Experience in engine steady state performance calibration (Air path, Fuel path, Ignition, Torque Model, Exhaust temperature model, Pressure models) VVT Selection and Optimization BSFC optimisation Insight into turbocharger and boost calibration Must be able to comprehend engine’s combustibility limits and component protection (turbocharger and catalytic converter) Must have complete knowledge on selection of catalytic converter for a given engine & vehicle platform Prior experience in vehicle emission calibration – Lambda control, purging of catalyst & canister purge Understanding Emission optimisation /Emission analyser Fuel economy optimisation on ...
