Main Purpose and Function


The Green Rainwater Infrastructure Branch designs, delivers, and manages a variety of assets, called green rainwater infrastructure (GRI), that treat, retain, and detain rainwater runoff from streets and other public spaces. Within the team [this position] will be responsible for producing GRI designs and supporting project implementation from planning through construction. Typical projects include corner bulge bioretention, rainwater tree trenches, permeable pavements and larger scale assets like stormwater wetlands.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership, forward thinking, and GRI and landscape design expertise.

  • Provide project management for specific implementation projects with an emphasis on landscape architecture and public realm design.
