Job Description

Summary These positions serves as Land Law Examiner for the Alaska BLM State Office and are located in Anchorage, Alaska. We expect to fill 4 vacancies at this time; however, additional positions may be filled from this announcement if they become available. First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the step 1 rate. Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) rate of 1.49% is authorized. Responsibilities Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Collect data on a variety of cases related to lands, oil and gas, mining, or mineral cases. Determine accuracy and proper execution of applications or claims and the qualifications of applicants for legal rights. Prepare routine correspondence, including decisions, to process cases. Draft the more progressively complex adjudication decisions. Collect, enter, manipulate, update, and maintain data. Ensure quality and integrity.
