Job Description
Support First Nations families as a Kiipewii’chego Advocate in Manitoba. This role focuses on providing wraparound assistance for expectant mothers navigating health and child welfare systems.
Under the supervision of the Director of Children & Families, you will coordinate essential support services for First Nations families. Collaborating closely with healthcare professionals and community leaders, you'll help families meet their goals and overcome challenges. Your work will empower them by providing connections to cultural resources and support systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Attend and contribute to weekly case conferences
• Complete intake processes for new clients
• Foster collaboration with Perinatal Support Workers
• Connect families to Elders to enhance cultural identity
• Advocate for meaningful parent-child contact
Requirements:
• Bachelor's in Social Work or Arts; equivalent experience acceptable
