Job Description

  • Provide high-quality policy advice influencing Māori Development and iwi and Māori relations with the Crown.

  • Full Time, fixed term to 30 July 2027 based in Te Tari Matua/National Office in Pōneke Wellington.

    • Join our Te Pae Tiriti team as a Policy Advisor and build your career through hands-on experience, coaching, and mentoring. You'll work closely with colleagues across the Ministry and external partners, contributing to Ministerial papers and policy advice with support from the team.


    The Te Pae Tiriti team supports policy development and provides strategic advice across a range of priority areas. Other parts of the work programme include:

  • Development of the annual Section 8i Report, which tracks the Crown’s progress in implementing Waitangi Tribunal recommendations
