Kaiawhina – Kaupapa Māori Cancer Care Coordinator

About the role

Ngāti Porou Oranga is building a dedicated team to stand alongside whānau living with cancer, walking with them from diagnosis through treatment, recovery, and beyond. This kaupapa is about more than clinical care. It’s about restoring hope, protecting mana, and ensuring every whānau on the Coast can access the support they deserve, close to home and grounded in te Ao Māori.

Working alongside our Cancer Care Clinical Coordinator (RN) and the wider health team, the Kaiāwhina plays a vital role in improving access to prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship support for Māori whānau.

This is a Full‑Time role based out of Gisborne, holding it down for the East Coast from Pōtaka down to Whāngārā.
