Key responsibilities
Living in the hall and reporting to the Tumuaki Taupuni – Head of Hall, Kaiārahi ā-kāinga rua – Residential Advisers (RAs) work closely with hall staff and the RA team to support, create, and maintain a welcoming and respectful hall community.
RAs are required to be committed for the full academic year and gain experience working in a rewarding environment with a diverse range of students. RAs become a leader in the hall community, helping to connect students to the University student services. The RA teams, with support from management, plan and deliver engaging activities in the hall to help students meet new friends, succeed in their studies, and feel at home.
RAs work approximately 30 hours per fortnight, consisting mainly of evening and weekend shifts. All successful applicants are required to complete a comprehensive training, starting late-January. During the two-week training period you are required to be av...
