Junior Scrap Metal Buyer

Our client is seeking a Junior Scrap Metal Buyer to join the Port Elizabeth team, Source ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal from existing and new suppliers. Conduct site visits to suppliers, scrapyards, industrial businesses, and construction sites. Negotiate pricing within approved company parameters. Prepare and issue purchase orders and purchase agreements. Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors. Identify and develop new procurement opportunities. Assess and identify different grades of scrap metal. Evaluate quality, contamination levels, and estimated weight of materials. Requirements Grade 12 12 years' experience in buying, procurement, sales, logistics, recycling, manufacturing, or a related industry. Experience in the scrap metal, recycling, steel, or waste management industry will be advantageous. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Valid drivers license
