About the Role
Hi I’m Abhik, Ashby’s Co‑Founder and VP of Engineering. Design Engineering at Ashby blends design and engineering work: creating high‑quality interfaces, prototyping, building shareable components, and translating design intent into production code that serves over 100,000 weekly active users.
Responsibilities
- Redesign the mobile web app by conducting user research, wireframing new flows, implementing the design system, and turning wireframes into polished UI.
- Build a set of flexible, composable components in the design system to support consistent, beautiful setup wizards across the product.
- Improve the information hierarchy and scannability of designs for candidate assessment views so recruiters can quickly identify anomalies.
- Collaborate with product engineers and designers on bespoke design work, expanding and enhancing the in‑house design system.
