Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic / Heavy Equipment Technician

Description

We are hiring for a variety of positions which include:

• Engine Assembly and Service Bay
• Powertrain Assembly and Service Bay
• Expanded Mining Component Rebuild Technician

Qualifications

• Heavy Equipment Technician and/or Off-Road Journeyperson ticket, or interprovincial Red Seal, is required
• Multiple years’ experience working on heavy equipment Engine / powertrain components
• Understanding of engine / powertrain components and how they function
• Understanding of proper torquing procedures
• Capable of operating basic service tools as well as all critical analog measuring devices including dial bore gauges and micrometers
• Strong organizational skills and ability to follow work instructions
• Must be able to communicate written and spoken English effectively
• Ability to regularly lift and handle material weighing up to 40 pounds
