Job Description
Become a 4th Class Power Engineer with Canada Packers and impact sustainable pork production. Your role will focus on the safe operation of critical engineering systems in the facility.
As a key member of the engineering team, you will report to the Chief Engineer and be responsible for maintaining and monitoring various systems. Your diligence ensures compliance with health and safety standards while contributing to a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain all steam generation and refrigeration operations
• Conduct safety inspections of relevant machinery
• Manage utilities across HVAC, water, and gas systems
• Utilize computerized maintenance systems efficiently
• Follow all Health & Safety policies and procedures
Requirements:
• Must have a 4th Class Power Engineer certificate with ABSA
• 3-5 years experience in a unionized manufacturing setting
• Experience in steam and refrigeration systems essential
