Brisco Wood Preservers Ltd., a major Canadian treated wood producer specializing in utility poles and agricultural products, is seeking to hire a Band Mill Sawyer for our plant in Peers, AB. Our treating plants are located in both Alberta and British Columbia. Brisco Wood Preservers’ state of the art treating facility and Dowel Post plant is located in Peers, Alberta. Brisco sells treated Poles, posts & rails and we also custom treat a variety of wood products.

General Summary: Reporting to the VP of Operations the Band Mill Sawyer is required to complete various tasks in lumber production, machine operation, counting inventory as well as general cleanup and other duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks efficiently focusing on safety, quality and production while meeting deadlines.
• Operate a variety of equipment and saw machines in lumber production.
