Island Kiosk Volunteer: Seasonal Sales & Service Accom

Running a kiosk on a Hauraki Gulf Island

We would like a volunteer to help run our kiosk during the summer period (October - March). Preferably someone that can commit to several days at a time. Accommodation will be available. Duties also include assistance with the cleaning and monitoring of the visitor service facilities.

Responsibilities

• Run the kiosk shop, selling products and managing sales.
• Assist with cleaning and monitoring visitor service facilities.

Requirements

• Enjoy interacting with the public and pay attention to detail to ensure sales are correctly entered.
• Be trustworthy, as you will manage cash and card‑based sales and need to cash up accurately at the end of each day.
• Police background check is required.
• Will be trained by the Rotoroa Island Trust and expected to work independently with no supervision.
