Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking an International Services Adviser for International Student Services (ISS). Reporting to the Director of International Student Services, the international student adviser (ISA) will work as a member of ISSS’ Student Services team, delivering immigration services and holistic support to undergraduate and graduate international students at Rutgers University.Among the key duties of the position are the following:

Serves as a Designated School Official (DSO) and Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO) in issuing SEVIS documents for international students to obtain, maintain and apply for the benefits of their legal international student or exchange visitor status.

Advises students in individual and group settings on opportunities, rights and responsibilities under the law and refer to other University departments, attorneys, or governmental agencies as necessary.
