INTERDISCIPLINARY (CHEMIST/MATERIALS ENGINEER)

Position Description

You will serve as a INTERDISCIPLINARY (CHEMIST/MATERIALS ENGINEER) in the MRO Engineering Department/Depot Support Team of FLTREADCEN EAST.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will provide technical decisions and engineering dispositions, both oral and written, to the depot process shops in various areas to include inorganic coatings, welding, brazing, additive manufacturing, and/or protective coatings.
• You will develop, assemble, and issue engineering instructions and determinations concerning materials engineering and associated processes related to repair of aircraft materials.
• You will initiate, coordinate, attend, and direct program related meetings and conferences at this and other naval activities to resolve specific industrial support issues.
