The Department of Critical Care Medicine, Division of Intensive Care Medicine of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) seeks Intensivists at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (NRGH) in Nanaimo.

NRGH is a Regional Hospital, which provides some Tertiary Care facets (Nephrology, Critical Care, Regional Trauma Service) to the population of Central and North Island, drainage being from Duncan to Port Hardy. The population served is in excess of ,.

Clinical service elements provided at NRGH include the surgical disciplines of General, Plastic and Orthopaedic surgery, ENT surgery, Urology, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, OMFS and Dental Surgery. We have active GIM and Hospitalist groups. Our Critical Care environment has undergone a significant revival with the expansion into a 2-floor tower, comprising 2 x 12 bed critical care units, adjacent to the OR suite.
