Instrumentation Technician (CU)

• T3 / S4 or N6 qualification • Instrumentation Trade Certificate • Registration with ECSA will be an advantage • 3 years’ experience in a mining environment in a Instrumentation Mechanician / Technician role. • Sound knowledge of Siemens S7 PLCs and PCS7 control systems. • Proven experience with the WinCC SCADA environment, including configuration, monitoring and troubleshooting. • Experience with Host Server architecture and virtualized control node environments. • Basic understanding of GPON network principles. • Sound understanding of blasting systems, with exposure to the Sasol Centralised Blasting System • Experience in fire detection and suppression systems. • Experience in communication systems (Leaky Feeder and fibre networks.
