Instrument Technician - Sterile Processing - Full-Time - Evenings

Job Description:

Perform decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, processing and sterilization of all surgical instrumentation, scopes, patient care equipment requiring sterilization, and supplies.

Performing monitoring of the effectiveness of all sterilization processes according to Policies and Procedures and by following the AAMI, AORN, CDC, and OSHA guidelines

1. Demonstrates knowledge and technical skills in decontamination and processing of instruments, scopes, equipment, and supplies. (25%)

2. Demonstrates knowledge of surgical instruments and technical expertise in identification, care, and handling and inspection for proper working prior to sterilization. (25%)

3. Demonstrates knowledge and technical skills in operating sterilization equipment. (25%)
