Position Summary
North Island College is seeking a qualified instructor to teach ABG 100: Histories and Impacts of Colonization as part of the Pathways to Nuu-chah-nulth Teacher Training Program , a community‑led partnership with the Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council and North Island College. The program supports Indigenous learners, with priority for Nuu‑chah‑nulth members in the region, who are preparing to become teachers grounded in Nuu‑chah‑nulth values, land, language, culture, and community. Students complete university‑level courses toward admission into Year 3 of the Bachelor of Education program.
ABG 100 explores historical relationships, colonial contexts, and social, economic, and political influences that have impacted Indigenous peoples and communities.
