City of Courtenay Infrastructure Planning Engineer The City of Courtenay invites applications for the position of “Infrastructure Planning Engineer” in the Asset Management Division of the Infrastructure, Engineering & Environmental Services Department. This is a union position subject to the terms and conditions in the collective agreement between the City and CUPE Local 556.

The Infrastructure Planning Engineer is a core member of the City’s Asset Management Division and plays a central role in leading the development, maintenance, and integration of infrastructure planning frameworks that connect the Official Community Plan, Development Cost Charge program, engineering master plans, asset management plans, condition assessments, and capital renewal strategies. The role provides infrastructure planning insight into development servicing reviews, multi‑year capital planning, facility lifecycle planning, and corporate reporting.
