INDIGENOUS YOUTH CARE WORKER Position Description: There is a position available for an Indigenous Youth Care Worker at North Peace Secondary School. Applications must be completed online and will be accepted on an onging basis until the position is filled. The role of the Indigenous Youth Care Worker (IYCW) is to provide identified Indigenous students with opportunities to enhance their social-emotional well-being while ensuring their academic success and promoting cultural opportunities. The IYCW must have the ability to work independently, and collaboratively, with teachers and the Indigenous Education Centre staff. The IYCW's responsibilities vary according to the students' and school needs but all have the ultimate objective of assisting students in order to foster educational success.
