Imaging Consultant Cardiologist

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Cardiologist to provide inpatient and outpatient cardiology care across the Northland region. Based in Whangārei, this role will involve travelling to and working from our rural hospitals as needed.

Whangārei Hospital is the largest hospital in Northland, providing secondary care services across the region and supported by our rural hospitals in Dargaville, Bay of Islands and Kaitaia. Advanced Trainees, Registrars, Nurse Practitioners and Clinical Nurse Specialists working alongside our team of Specialist, playing key roles in the delivery of cardiology services and care.

Whangārei hospital has an on-site cardiac catheter lab performing coronary intervention, service provision for cardiac MRI, cardiac CT, transthoracic echocardiogram (including TOE and stress echo) and well-developed heart failure and cardiac rehab services.
