Role Summary :
Apache Kafka is the banks real-time data streaming backbone, and caching (Redis/Memcached) ensures banking applications respond with minimal latency.
The Kafka & Cache COE Lead designs and operates these critical infrastructure layers, ensuring that events like payments, alerts, fraud signals, and transaction updates flow reliably and quickly across the entire platform. Key Roles & Responsibilities : 1. Event Streaming Platform (Apache Kafka) :
- Design and manage the banks enterprise event-streaming platform using Apache Kafka.
- Define topic naming conventions, partitioning strategies, consumer group designs, retention policies, and schema registry governance (Avro/Protobuf).
- Implement exactly-once semantics, idempotent producers, and transactional messaging for financial-grade data integrity.
