o Diploma or a Degree either specializing in Safety Management, Mining or Engineering is essential o Computer literacy (MS Office package) is essential o Minimum of 5 years working experience as a Chief / Safety Officer is essential o Must have a valid code EB (08) license and own transport o Must have experience and knowledge of SHE management systems across the entire spectrum o Must have experience and knowledge of health and safety regulatory requirements including the application of different permits and permissions o COMSOC / SAMTRAC / COMPLAT, and all other safety-related qualifications is essential o Fair knowledge of CURA / ISOMATRIX Management Systems will be an advantage. o Mine Overseer Certificate would be considered an advantage o Valid Medical Certificate or be medically fit in order to obtain such a certificate.
