Housing Options Officer

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Options Officer for a local authority in Southeast London.

In this role, you will assess homelessness applications, provide housing advice and work with customers to prevent and relieve homelessness.

Duties:

• Assess homelessness applications in line with current legislation.
• Provide housing advice and complete Personal Housing Plans.
• Work with customers, landlords and partner agencies to prevent homelessness.
• Maintain accurate case records and complete relevant assessments and notifications.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience using Abritas or Civica housing systems.
• Experience assessing homelessness applications under Part VII of the Housing Act 1996.
• Experience providing housing advice and homelessness prevention support.
