Housing Officer

Main Purpose of the Job:
To provide comprehensive housing management services within a defined geographical area (c.70 properties), including the management and coordination of: voids; health and safety; maintenance; property inspections and aspects of tenancy management, including nuisance and anti-social behaviour advise and local amenities advice.

To work closely with Local Authorities’ Housing Officer and to provide additional tenancy sustainment support to designated designated tenants when required.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES OF THE POST

*  To provide advice to tenants in form of sign posting on local amenities, schools, GP

* Surgeries, etc. to ensure tenants settle in well and make use of community amenities in the area.

*  To provide tenants support with moving in ensuring that Welcome and Starter packs are provided accordingly and to support the tenants with the registration for utility bills.
