Summary The purpose for this position is to serves as the Chief, Environmental Management Service (EMS) at the , and is responsible for the day-day management and oversight of housekeeping, grounds, laundry, non-critical Reusable Medical Equipment (RME), pest control, disposal of the regulated medical waste, and the facility uniform program, serving all buildings, grounds, and other components of the VAPIHCS and outlying areas and leased space Responsibilities The Hospital Housekeeping Officer is fully responsible for each shared area and services provided within each area, coordinating with TAMC personnel, and maintaining ongoing delineation of responsibilities and readjustments as the EMS department is developed. The MOUs and SLAs will cover responsibilities, scheduling, supplies and ordering of the delineation of work to include but not limited to pest control, grounds maintenance, laundry and linen distribution, Regulated Medical Waste and Solid waste removal.
