Hospice Physician

Job Summary:

 The Hospice Physician will function under the supervision of the designated hospice Medical Director. The hospice physician as an employee or contracted employee of the hospice provides core patient services under the supervision of the medical director and in conjunction with the patient’s attending physician. The hospice physician assists with the palliation and management of the patient as related to the patient terminal and related illness.

Essential Functions:

Participates in and promotes core care delivery process related to the patients in the hospice.

Supports an interdisciplinary team meeting when delegated by the Medical Director.

Proactively keeps abreast of hospice and palliative care trends, best practices and any anticipated compliance changes.
