Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Term Time

Responsibilities

As a HLTA you will play a key role in supporting the teaching and learning across the school. You will work closely with teachers to:

• Lead learning for individuals, small groups, and whole classes
• Plan, prepare and adapt learning activities to meet complex needs
• Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress
• Support pupils’ social, emotional and behavioural development
• Work collaboratively with staff, parents/carers and external professionals
• Contribute to a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment

This is a rewarding but physically demanding role, requiring you to be responsive to the needs, safety, and wellbeing of pupils with complex needs. You will need to be proactive, flexible, and resilient in your approach.
