Summary

/Objective:TheApplicationsEngineertakes standard Samtec products and modifies them to fit customer application.Theywork with the Customer, Product and Process Engineers to define designs and solutions that will meet customer requirements.Daily interaction with Production, Procurement, Engineering, Quoting, Marketing and Managementforstandard Samtec products and modifies them to fit customer application.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Correspond with customers topropose anddesign the correctsolutionfor their application

Review requests from customers.

Assigncustom partnumbers.

Enter engineering change requests (ECRs).

Field other technical questions that may roll over.

Review prints to ensure the design meets the customer’srequirements, and is good for use in production.

Generate product cost sheets to be used for quoting purposes.
