Dairy Herd Manager – Kamo, Northland

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Dairy Herd Manager to join our farming team based in Kamo, Northland. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who is confident in the day‑to‑day operation of a dairy farm and is able to support and train junior staff where required.

This is a full‑time permanent role with a minimum guarantee of 40 hours per week. The pay rate for this position is $33.00 to $35.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the efficient running of the dairy, including milking, animal health, effluent management, feeding, calf rearing, mating support, and general farm maintenance.
• Carry out milking and milk quality procedures, identify and assist with the treatment of common animal health issues, support calving and calf rearing, recognise cows on heat, and assist with mating processes.
