Heat Treat Attendant (Off-Shift)

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, load, and monitor heat treat furnaces per specifications and metallurgical procedures.
• Verify casting details , including melt and part numbers, test bar requirements, and heat treat conditions.
• Safely use forklifts, hoists, or cranes to load/unload furnace materials and fixtures.
• Maintain accurate records on log sheets and charts for process tracking.
• Monitor and control compressors, fans , and furnace gas content using CO₂ sampling equipment.
• Inspect and maintain racks, fixtures, and castings for alignment, straightness, and overall quality using templates.
• Conduct routine CO₂ and boron trifluoride line checks , documenting inspection results.
• Perform security checks throughout the facility and assist with fire response if necessary.
