Health & Safety Officer (HSE)

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the Health Safety Standards to ensure compliance with all statutory requirements.
• Perform regular hazard identification, risk assessments (RA) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
• Ensure adherence to legal, local, and company HSE policies.
• Conduct daily site inspections of equipment, tools, and work practices.
• Operate independently of other departments and possess authority required under ISO9001 & 14001, providing management of self‑audit and managing audits, both internal and external, for continual improvement.
• Lead investigations into accidents or near‑misses, determine root causes and implement corrective preventive actions.
• Provide QHSE inspection and auditing support to units.
• Keep company Health Safety policy up to date and monitor implementation, drawing concerns to appropriate manager.
