Health Information Management Specialist 2

**Job Purpose or Objective(s):** Health Information Management Specialist 2 is responsible for managing, and securely storing confidential patient records and information. The Health Information Management Specialist 2 is required to participate in rigorous training to perform other duties as assigned to best serve all internal and external customers of the Choctaw Nation Health Services.

**Primary Tasks:**
1. Works in accordance with all privacy regulations and Oklahoma health laws to determine and fulfill valid release of information authorization requests. Identifies and directs all subpoenas to Health Information Management Director. Fulfills their assigned role and responsibilities as Registrars to the Personal Health Record (PHR) system.
