Position Overview

Health Care Assistant – Ward 3 Acute Frailty Unit, Wellington Regional Hospital. Full‑time, permanent, 0.8 FTE rostered and rotating. This role supports nursing staff in the Acute Frailty Unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living under the delegation of a registered nurse.
• Restore and restock clinical supplies and maintain a clean environment.
• Observe and engage patients, recording observations and reporting relevant information.
• Communicate effectively and prioritise tasks to support the team.

Qualifications and Experience

• Current legal right to work in New Zealand and a valid work/residence visa.
• NZQA Level 3 National Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or equivalent).
