Health and Safety Expert for Manufacturing

Lead health and safety efforts in a Surrey, BC heavy industrial manufacturing company as a Health Safety Coordinator. This unique role involves both strategic oversight and hands-on management.
In this position, you will report to the Director of HR and leverage 7-10 years of experience to improve workplace safety protocols. Your responsibilities will involve conducting orientations, assessments, and liaising with external safety bodies, making you an essential part of our operational team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate worker safety orientations and talks
• Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments
• Liaise with WorkSafe for safety compliance
• Generate reports for OHS on a scheduled basis
• Supervise audits and manage safety procedure reviews
Requirements:
• 7-10 years in Health and Safety roles
• Completion of recognized OHS post-secondary program
